FUGOO - BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS

Fugoo's 'Go Anywhere Speaker', an amazing Bluetooth speaker built to take on the elements.

By far one of rG's favorite projects of the year. We were privileged to work with Alex Garfio, the design director at Fugoo and the rest of the team headquartered in Irvine, CA. Not only were we highly impressed with the product itself, but it was a rare project that utilized nearly every single design, and technical production process Related Grey has to offer.

Early Fugoo concept designs & 3D print outs

Being able to jump into the production process over at Fugoo was an amazing experience. An important part of bringing the product to life in a 3D environment was understanding their team's early design concepts. The attention to detail and design elements that went into this amazing product are second to none. The difficult part was trying to fit all the killer features into a single motion piece.

Dissecting the CORE

It's not just a pretty speaker to look at. These guys literally beat this thing into the ground. We've had our share of mobile speakers here at rG, it's nice to finally have a speaker system that can take a beating.

We love getting our hands dirty in CG physics-based testing. We succeeded in providing an accurate depiction of smashing up their product by matching computer generated materials with real world tolerances.

rG's mini-ramp has many purposes

We're always stoked to get a shoot in at rG HQ. Fugoo's team was brave enough to come down and get some face time on the camera. Getting personal product descriptions from the designers is always a good way to start the story. Trying to make them look good is another story. (That's a joke.)

Shooting indoors and outdoors. Fugoo didn't need to ask us twice to get some footage out in the wild.

It was great having the entire rG team running around the city gathering assets for this Fugoo project. Bringing together killer product footage with an even balance of CG illustration and motion graphics in a powerful combination.
Fugoo's speaker line allowed our team to maximize rG's capabilities.
